Casa Rosada

Our organization created a charity art auction to raise funds for children living in Santo Domingo’s La Casa Rosada Orphanage in the Dominican Republic. A large number of orphans are born with positive HIV diagnoses, and our organization feels compelled to help as best we can. With an eye towards upending the ever present association of art show, unaffordable work and stuffy vibes, we transformed Brooklyn’s Kinfolk 94 nightclub into a juxtaposed auction house party. Purposefully unpretentious, house and reggae music followed the light-hearted live auction.

Ann & Tom, along with creative partners @GetRealSoon, pitched in to make something special happen for the children of La Casa Rosada, an orphanage in the Dominican Republic. Ann also volunteered for the orphanage in East Santo Domingo. She knew she wanted to continue to contribute and so she and Tom decided to use their social connections, professional experience and creative skills to curate a unique event. The event offered an opportunity to leverage the influential energy of the NYC arts community to raise awareness and funds for this worthy cause. NYC’s artist community donated artworks, labor and love which allowed the event to become a complete success! The extended online community were invited to participate by purchasing the remaining artworks available after the auction on Instagram.

Art lovers & collectors posted bids on our online auction on Instagram.
